Now in a Space Gray finish. Magic Mouse 2 is completely rechargeable, so you’ll eliminate the use of traditional batteries. It’s lighter, has fewer moving parts thanks to its built-in battery and continuous bottom shell, and has an optimized foot design — all helping Magic Mouse 2 track easier and move with less resistance across your desk. And the Multi-Touch surface allows you to perform simple gestures such as swiping between web pages and scrolling through documents.

Magic Mouse 2 is ready to go right out of the box and pairs automatically with your Mac. A bluetooth mouse with one fatal flaw It's a mouse and it works. Moves on my desk just fine, appreciate the physical click, like the finger gestures, and the battery lasts a long time. However, it has one fatal flaw: the charging port is on the bottom of the mouse. Why not put it on the side so I can still use it (like a classic mouse), instead of being forced to leave it upside down (and be unusable) while it charges?

It's an obvious fix to a problem. More (Read full review). Written by Aaron F from Thornhill. Mar 27, 2018 376 of 423 people found this useful. Great Mouse I don't know why people keep complaining about the charging port being on the bottom.

The battery lasts well over a month if not two of everyday all day use. This means that 1 day out of 60. You have to remember to plug it in at night or before leaving work and your set for another 60 days. Not only that, but in about 2 min of charging the mouse gains about 8 hours of battery life. Yes, I said 2 min people!

My only complaint would be that scrolling is sometimes too sensitive. Other than that its a great mouse! More (Read full review). Written by Evan L from Wahoo.

Here they have dropped the ball. It is fantastic to be able to charge the mouse and not have to buy new batteries for countless reasons. But to not be able to use the mouse because the lightning port was designed to be on the bottom of the device is just a complete misstep. When you loose power you have to completely stop productivity to charge the device. More (Read full review). Written by Steven P from Norwalk. Mar 28, 2018 145 of 197 people found this useful.

Why have a cavity for the laser? The cavity for the laser made sense when it took AA batteries and the plate could be removed so you could easily clean off the area. Clearly the designers don't The cavity for the laser made sense when it took AA batteries and the plate could be removed so you could easily clean off the area.

Clearly the designers don't have cats. In case you didn't know, they shed fine hairs and love to lay on your desk right next to your arm when you're working. So cat hair inevitably ends up on the mousepad, even when the cats are well-groomed, and once in a while the tiniest hair ever will end up stuck in the laser cavity and break the $100 mouse. You have to flip the thing over on an operating table with a bright surgical light and use tweezers wearing a sterile operating suit to remove it.

At this point, with no removable plate for that area, why not just cover the entire laser cavity flush against the bottom of the mouse with a clear plastic so nothing can get in? It's ridiculous that I have to go through this so often. Aside from that flaw that was bad before but far worse now that the plate isn't removable, I have always liked these mice. You should be able to charge and use the mouse at the same time. Apple was lazy and just kept the same design and threw a lightning port on the bottom instead of redesigning the mouse to have a charge port in a sensible location. More (Read full review). Written by Adam S from Loveland.

USB-A to Lightning cable. What computer do they offer in Space Gray that does not have USB-C? Now, list the Space Gray Laptops that are ONLY USB-C. For the 'Space Gray' 20 extra bucks, they could at least give us the correct cable, especially since they just charged me $19 for the cable that should have come with it in the first place. Charging port on the bottom - not a problem. Much better than hauling around extra batteries.
